journeys with zephyria yachting

Bodrum - Hisaronu - Bodrum

Embarking in Bodrum this voyage into the blue takes you to Knidos and the Datca Peninsula before heading south to explore the many intricate bays and inlets in the magnificent Gulf of Hisaronu. Ancient history and myths abound, while the natural coastlines and picturesque harbours offer inspiration and holiday fun for everyone.

Bodrum - Knidos

01

From the glamorous and buzzing marina town of Bodrum, ancient Halicarnassus, set sail for Knidos, the atmospheric ancient harbour and ruined city of Aphrodite, goddess of love, where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet, incredible at sunset and a perfect spot for paddle boarding and snorkelling too.

Datca - Pigs Bay

02

It is said that Datça was created personally by Zeus, so breathtaking are its rocky outcrops and turquoise waters. Ancient geographer Strabo proclaimed ‘God sent his beloved creatures to Datça for them to live longer’. Relaxing into these incredible landscapes you’ll understand why.

Selimiye

03

The many secluded outlets and coves in the intricate Gulf of Hisaronu promise total peace and quiet, while sleepy traditional fishing villages like Selimye, ancient Hyda, surrounded by almond trees and olive groves offer lovely beaches, boutiques, local markets and restaurants decked out with tables on the sand and candle lit piers.

Dirsek Bay

04

Cruise to the magical Dirsek Bay; snorkel the underwater ruins of the ancient quay or take the paddle or dinghy ashore to walk the ancient trails in the surrounding hillsides with no one but local goats for company. From up in the hills there’s an incredible view of Dirsek’s crystal clear turquoise waters.

Gokliman - Kargi

05

These exquisite bays for anchorage set the scene for lazy brunches or lunches on board, swimming whenever you please, sunbathing on deck and making the most of the private floating paradise that is your gulet. Time stops here while the turquoise waters and healing sun of the Aegean just can’t fail to steal the hearts of anyone.

Palamutbuku

06

This broad bay and soft stone beach is the ancient location of the Triopium, the religious centre of the Dorian Confederation. Now a very laid back waterfront spot for relaxing on the beach or at tables under the shady tamarisk trees, sampling incredible home made ice cream from local almonds and honey.
